Bio-informatica is the dutch equivalent of bioinformatics in English. Bioinformatics is the combination of statistics and computer science / informatics applied to molecular biology.
This website is dedicated to the freedom of biological related tools & apps. For example, a few tools on this website: SNP-detection, Hardy-Weinberg calculator or Haplotype block analyser. The ultimate goal will be the possibility of creating a simple linkage of tools by choice, this will enable the user to use an extensive variety of tools by pressing only a few buttons. Numerous small basic tools can make one big advanced tool when connected with eachother.

The founder of this project is Benjamin Versteeg: bioinformatics student in The Netherlands, who is aiming his focus at the computer scientific side of biological processes.
